Visiting: Stonehenge, Avebury, Lacock, Castle Combe

We took a day trip to the surrounding area during our Bath trip - first stop Stonehenge! We got there nice and early and avoided the huge groups of people that were arriving just as we left! We motored on to Avebury Henge and Stone Circles - we did not get to see the whole complex here as it covers a huge area!
On to Lacock for lunch - well I had a cream tea - as you can see lashings of scones and clotted cream! I really loved this village - used in such productions as Cranford and Harry Potter and most importantly Pride and Prejudice (BBC). Needless to say P&P went straight into the DVD player when we got home! On we trundled to Castle Combe 'The Prettiest Village in England' for more loveliness - most excited here for its use as the village of Wall in Stardust!
