Rosy Magnets and Kawaii Buttons

I've been in the wilds of the Burren Co. Clare for the past week with a very slow internet connection so apologies for lack of posts! In Dublin for a match at the new Aviva Stadium so thought I'd include some buttons and magnets I made recently - especially happy with these rosy Cath Kidston fabric magnets!

Covet Tuesday: Irish Fashion Designers Stamp Set

You can imagine my excitement when I was at the Post Office last week posting off a button order and this Orla Kiely stamp came through the hatch! These look great in reality - very large and colourful and whats not to covet about stamps with handbags on!

Covet Thursday: Caroline Gardiner

I came across these Caroline Gardiner cards the other day at The Pavilion - love the colours and the floral patterns - also found that there is a CG line of  wrap packs too - stationery heaven!

Visiting: Renvyle Co. Galway

I had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Renvyle House Hotel last weekend - its a pretty long car journey from Cork but well worth it as you can see - this little beach is right at the hotel! This weekend I've roped in some man-power to help paint our box room so I can use it as a crafting space - very excited as its been a dump room since our move last year! I now have a table and some new curtains too - although I think another visit to Ikea is needed for these shelves!

Felty Corsages and July Makes

I've finally gotten around to finishing up some works in progress that have been on the crafts shelves for quite a while! I've been experimenting with flower and butterfly felty corsages and hope to make some more necklaces and headbands soon! Also very excited with these black toadstool and Russian doll buttons and some more mini bunting - its addictive!
I recently dipped into the world of baking and this was my first attempt at butter icing - not bad! Picked up this Rice Napkin at the Avoca sale over the weekend - its currently residing on my hall table - but I'm sure Louis will start sleeping on it before long!

Covet Tuesday: Hattie and Blythe

I came across the wonderfully indulgent  (and slightly pricey) Hattie and Blythe over the weekend at the Avoca Letterfrack! Also available at Harrods - these beautifully packaged sweets come in mixes such as 'Alien Attack', 'Liqorice Lovers' and my favourite 'Tuck Shop' .

Twelve Things - Lobster and Swan

I decided to partake in this project having read this post - such beautiful images and lovely stories!
**update** - so excited to have been included in Lobster and Swan's's Twelve Things - Read her post here!

1. Mannequin Head - From my Grannie's Hair Salon - She was a very inspiring and independent woman.
2. The Wizard of Oz - This was a gift from my Mum a few years back - The film is a favourite and I just love  the tiny size of this book.
3. The Eiffel Tower - A little kitchy souvenir from a perfect Parisian holiday.
4. Leafy Branch Brooch - Also inherited from my Grannie - This is one of my favourite pieces of jewellery.
5. Joe the Guin - Really sweet wooden penguin bought for me by my husband during some tough times last year.
6. Rose Scarf - Has skyrocketed to my favourite scarf since recent purchase at Urban Outfitters. I have a scarf for every occasion.
7. Glass Jug - Complete with swizzle stick - Inherited from my other Gran - perfect for Elderflower Cordial during the summer!
8. New Shoes - I bought these last year and have been keeping them for 'good' - but now intend to wear as soon as possible.
9. Ivor the Teddy Bear - Keeps all his prised possessions in his little bag - he has kept me company during exams for twenty years.
10. Deer Photograph - Reminds me of family members not with me anymore - This was my Grannie's 'pet' deer!
11. Wooden Box - Snaffled from my Mum's dressing table when I was small - has lived on mine ever since.
12. Orange Flower Facial Oil - Smells wonderful - A beautiful gift from my thoughtful friend in London.

Visiting: Baltimore, Sherkin Island, Rosscarbery, Clonakilty

Finally some photographs of our week in West Cork - It seems to be raining ever since we got home! We had not been to Sherkin since we were kids so this was a great adventure getting the boat from Baltimore! Another first since my teens - pitch and putt! And of course some shopping and ice-cream in Clonakility.

Busy at Crafts

I've been a busy crafter since returning from holiday! First of all though a mention for these great 'Cafe Biscuits' found at Aldi recently - so nice with a cup of coffee! I've had fun making these Scrabble Box Frames - hope to sell these at markets later in the summer. Also - new packaging for buttons, badges and business cards - and a new line of coffee cup holders! I invested in a sewing machine at Aldi - and made this mini bunting last week - looks good on our bookcases! Oh and Louis was 'helping' me to clean out my crafts drawers last week - cats seem to love being part of every household task!

Moonlit Serenade

Back from a lovely holiday in West Cork! Took this photo from our balcony around midsummer - fantastic! Time spent mostly relaxing with some rockpooling and body boarding thrown in for good measure.
